Johnny Moore's Golf Tourney

Former Spurs star Johnny Moore will donate proceeds from his annual golf tournament to the Baptist Child & Family Services Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

A celebrity dinner and auction, featuring jazz violinist Michel Ward, will be held Oct. 23 at La Cantera. The Palmer Course at the resort will host the tournament the following day. Call (210) 241-7179 for information.

Meanwhile, Northern Hills Golf Club will host a charity tournament and silent auction Friday, with proceeds to benefit victims of the Northern Hills apartment fire that occurred in August. Call (210) 655-8026 for information.
