Man...they want my bad.....
They head to mini camp but said Kobe doesnt need to go..because basically if he plays well and wants the spot then its his....
Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops:
Kobe Bryant has a chance to be a member of the 2016 U.S. Olympic team, even though he is not attending Team USA’s minicamp this week, USA Basketball Executive Director Jerry Colangelo told SheridanHoops Tuesday.Kobe won gold medals with the Americans at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. He’s a decorated member of Team USA, and he deserves credit for his contributions.
“If he had a great year, it would be a great story for him to try to close out his career by winning a gold medal,” Colangelo said.
Bryant and Colangelo actually discussed the possibility in June during an NBA/USAB sponsorship conference in New York. Colangelo made no promises or guarantees, but made it clear to Bryant that if he is able to compete at a high level during the 2015-16 season, the door will be open for him to return to Team USA.
He also said he wouldn’t compete in the 2016 Games.

international amateur compe ions is his only hope of saving a "legacy" that will have him "leading" the Lakers to miss the playoffs three straight years for the first time in franchise history.
playing your last meaningful game at age 33
Meanwhile you're posting on this board with regularity.... Smiley face indeed.....
Get off his ...he's done you 20 threads a day posting got.
He is a gold medalist, they should bring him in - unless they wanted another stain on USA's basketball record. They can give Duncan a ring for that one
What's the odds of him of getting any significant playing time outside of garbage time?
They want Kobe..and when healthy he will still be the go to guy....we've all seen how Lebronze folds....

The rumor was Coach K and Kobe were needed cuz Lebron made the practices too relaxed and not professional....so they recruited Kobe to show everyone how to practice and work hard.
Note all the players praised Kobe for his work ethic after those Olympics.

Kobe 3 > Jim 1 stained medal
Let us proceed...
Boy you sure told him!

Why does someone form a Laker Troll profile on Spurstalk?

That pic is funny ...you can see the "shame" on all their faces especially Amare.
B--b-but Venti international compe ions don't matter ... unless it's to bump up Manu's or Tony Parker's resume. I have seen clowns upstairs argue "I would take prime manu over Kobe ... he is a better team-mate and the XX Olympics or XX FIBA medals proved he could lead a team" ...
So do they matter or not?
how the mighty have fallen...
coatriding to medals and
No body gives a about the Olympics. At least I don't. I haven't watched one game since the original dream team. No need to.
Kobe will be the equivalent of a victory cigar. He will play in garbage time when the game is already decided.
Precisely, beat me to it.
Another way of riding coattails to success once again.
