I agree with Ted Gordon that the Confederate monuments should remain, so that people will notice them and talk about their significance in the context of the ins ution and the history of Texas.
That said, I won't miss em.

Ghettoizing monuments to the Confederacy in a museum is a sort of whitewashing: it suggests we've put white supremacy behind us. Nothing of the sort has happened.
White supremacy is current history too. Confederate monuments on the UT campus remain relevant and appropriate.
