Saw Scherff get his pushed in by J.J. Watt last week on Hard Knocks. But, it's J.J. Watt...I'll cut the guy some slack for that.
The 2nd one (The one Bomani posted)...did that get the ole' 15 yard penalty?
#75 brandon scherff(1st round pick) standing straight up using poor technique and gets qb clobbered
#77 shaun lauvou helps way too long and misses the linebacker on a delayed blitz
the lions backups vs R's backups, same results. R's goaline offense getting no push resulting in a bad snap/turnover
#60 willie smith whiffs on a assignment resulting in a sack
my observations the R's offensive line is really really bad and the obvious, jay gruden hates rg3. according to sbnation, rg3 was hit 6 of 8 times he dropped back. it was obvious the R's offensive line was no match for the lions starters so rg3 should have been pulled but gruden left him out to be slaughtered. like i said before, it doesn't matter who the qb is behind that line, they are minced meat with that scheme. stick to a ground and pound approach. the pass protection is piss poor.

who cares, he's a black Big 12 QB destined for failure anyways
nope. it looked like it was a clean hit.
most big 12 qb's suck. they all played in a spread offense since high school and struggle adapting to the pro style in the nfl.
I certainly think it was too close to flag....pretty much a bang-bang play.
But, that doesn't mean nowadays. The yellow laundry will fly regardless.
Which makes it all the more baffling why NFL GM's keep wasting high draft picks on them. The Big 12 is in what--their 20th year or so now?...and not one of their QB's has ever won a playoff game (as a starter).
i don't get it either, fam.
kinda happens when you say you think you're the best qb in the league
When Sam Bradford is the best the conference can do......yikes.
RGIII, EJ, Geno.. They're all done after this season. Jameis is on the clock too.
geno has been trash since day 1, manual is a bust who might lose his job to tyrod taylor. teddy trillwater and russy wilson are going to hold it dine.
My only question is Kirk hit at the same rate as RG3 with the same exact offensive line ?
i don't know. that was the starting offensive line and kirk usually runs with the 2s and 3s. kirk sucks, though.
Sure, Kirk sucks, but does he suck less than RG3? Also, the question was more about the hits. Sure, if the scheme is bad and the online sucks, Kirk would be getting murdered at a similar rate as RG, no? If not, we have to look at why and how much might be on RG3 (or Kirk if he gets hit more than RG with that same line)
yes, he does. when he had his chance to prove he was better, he lost his spot to colt mccoy lol. kirk has more pocket awareness but he isn't careful with the ball. what good is avoiding the rush but turning it over anyway?
look, i'm not saying rg3 is in the upper echelon of qb's. the R's made the decision to mortgage the future of their franchise by trading away allll those picks for rg3. with that said, he will get every opportunity to be the starter, especially when his backup's are trash and have had chance after chance to prove their worth. kirk cousins is the equivalent of cody carlson.
what kinda happens, your OL goes to ?
karma tbh.. seriously though, you give more motivation to linemen to kick the out of you
Replaced by Kirk.....
Its REDSKINS. And griffin...turn the page already.
ops, the best qb in the league got benched for Cousins![]()
