That sounds damn good.
My go to though is "pinwheels". Take a spinach wrap spread some sandwich spread on there havarti cheese add turkey and whatever veggies roll em up cut em up and put them on a plate. I use toothpicks but you don't have to.

I do a cold pasta salad. Boil the pasta and let it slightly cool. Add in Italian Dressing (can be low fat). Dice tomatoes small, chop black olives and sprinkle in Feta.
Very easy, cheap and really solid dish.
Take 4 dozen fresh donuts. People will laugh at you but the donuts will be the first thing they eat.
Ice chest of wrapped baked spuds.
Be the napkins or chips guy..
I normally take my world famous, can't do without, mexican rice. It is always a hit.

Mine taste better and they fly off the tray.
I don't eat pot luck food....people are nasty....I will bring a granola bar and munch out on that and lie about a doctor restricted diet
I don't even participate in these ing loser events. No way I'm eating cold pasta prepared by a mother a that had just been playing with his cat or dog.
Wow you guys are just too cool. You must work at crappy places to be scared like that. Sure, there are a couple that I won't even touch what they made but for the most part I've been to these people's houses and see how they live.
You guys are just outing yourselves for how crappy your jobs are and the people you work with.
It's not just work functions. Laker fans don't have friends? Sure - many of the parties we throw are catered, but sometimes people like to cook or bring food as a gift when they come to your home.
