Timmy's late to the game on this.
Kobe been coattailin' since 2000.
The gotry with this dude is no stop. I can't wait until LA checks out by mid-season and you guys are forced to play David West. I'll be here... that's for sure.
After seeing that LaMarcus Aldridge was heavily considering signing with the San Antonio Spurs early in the free agency process, Tim Duncan confirmed that he would be returning to play in his 19th NBA season. Duncan knows that Aldridge is the key to the Spurs winning another championship, and as he told Bleacher Report's Jared Zwerling, he can't wait to push and help his new teammate.
In assessing how he'll mesh with Aldridge, Duncan says, “I'm not worried about him benefiting my game; I'm going to worry about me benefiting his. I'm going to let him do his thing and just see where I can fit in and help. I'm going to ride his coattails and I'm going to push him.”Duncan hasn't played with an offensive big man like Aldridge since David Robinson, so you can understand his excitement. As Duncan's career winds down, he is still playing at an All-Star level, but the addition of Aldridge should help him conserve his body for the playoffs and San Antonio's hopeful championship run.
Aldridge has already said that he isn't worried about his game meshing with Duncan, so it sounds like the two are already on the same page well before the season starts. It may take the Spurs and Aldridge some time to properly acclimate to each other. However, Duncan seems willing to help his new teammate through this process.

Technically Jim as been riding coattails since 07, almost a decade. This is nothing new.
He wanted to coattail Kobe in 04 but ended up disgracing his country with a bronze medal instead.
And thus laker fan realized the value of team work as the arrogant star led them to the lottery three peat and drove away all legitimate talent, while the humble champ fought with the young contenders and punked lebron in a historic fashion rising from tosb status to be a true top five big man in the game.
The NBA.... Where teamwork happens.
Every Lakers fan thread is now at the level of Koolaid man. It's random grasping immaturely at shadows and ghosts of subjects that don't really even exist.
This is right where we wanted you to be, so welcome to the rest of your lives.
We bout ta sign Ron Attest....give us a break.....but to be fair he did say he was gonna ride him....
What the are you talking about, gimp. Everyone s on James. Curry, Dirk... Howard. Beating James is no great task... the is a choker... and Jim is an admitted coattail rider.
We have a direct quote. Jim is admitting to either beign a got or expecting someone to carry his big ass to a le. You choose.
This is true.
You completely ignored the part of his post where he mentions "the arrogant star led them to the lottery three peat"....
All you did was talk about the best player in the NBA. Your thoughts on Kobe leading the Lakers nose dive into the dirt???
I'm trying to but you keep yapping...![]()
At least you know your name.
And you completely ignore that even though Jim has never missed the playoffs... Kobe has more Finals appearances.
So you're saying Kobe is really not very clutch since he has had more chances to win rings and still has the same as Tim?
Aww it...just bend over...![]()
I'm saying 7 trips to the Finals is worth more than however many playoff births Jim has. And Jim has had more chances due to Kobe missing the playoffs 3 times.
No. Kobe is apparently a choke artist that gave back how many les? Having one more finals appearance does not overshadow missing the playoffs on multiple occasions. sorry.
The look on this s face...lol

Yet Kobe wasn't the best player on his team for even half of those finals appearances. Kobestan love to leave that little fact out.
No, you either win your last game in the playoffs or you'd be better to miss it. That's according to your leader.
During that run Shaq is quoted as saying Kobe is was the best in the NBA as early as 2001. I agree with Shaq.
Thats just Shaq being a nice guy. He knew Kobes sensitive little ego needed stroked. Theres a reason Shaq won every finals MVP during that span and that the year Kobe tried to take over in the finals the Lakers got bent the over.
