Have any of you ever rented DVD's from the machines at HEB?
My husband and I went this past weekend to rent 3 movies. We were under the assumption that It was a $1 per movie and that It would charge you $30 something dollars If they were returned past 14 days. So, I went to turn them In today and they charged my credit card $22.68
I called their 1-800 number and the customer service rep told me that It says outside of the machine $1.00 per day per movie. My husband and I both swear It said $1.00 per movie and If returned after 14 days additional fees apply.

yeah if you read the fine print if your late they charge you like the full price of the movie....you should have just kept it....i love those machines though
I haven't seen those machines. Are they new?
I've seen that machine, but never looked at the details.
Go back and take a picture of the machine and send it to them if that's what it says.
Or just tell your credit card company that you are disputing the charges and they'll take it off.

if you rented them on friday it would be a dollar a movie per day, so three times 7 is 21 that sounds about right

Anyways, I did mention to the customer service rep that I was going to contact the Trouble Shooters on this matter. (I'm sure he laughed while pressing the mute button on his end)
She is saying that she thinks it was just $1 per movie, not $1 per movie per day.
If you rented it on friday they still count friday as one day...and today as day 7, so it seems about right. i usually only keep them one day and take them back except for when Anchorman came out i kept that sucka for like a week, watched it over and over again
They have been in there for a while now. I rent from them periodically. It's $1 a day per movie. If you keep them longer than 14 days then they charge you like $26.95.

it clearly says $1.00 per day per movie. it would be kind of odd to let you keep a movie for 13 days for just a buck, wouldn't it? If you don't return it in 14 days they charge you full price per movie.
Oh heck no i wish it were just a dollar per movie, its a dollar per movie per day thats how those damn machines work im a pro with them now i use to rent from them all the time i figured just buying them works better now

I don't know if they are at all of them. But at the ones I've been to, they are on the leftside as you are walking out.

I just stick with Netflix...that way when I don't send the movie back for 3 months I don't get charged anything extra...
