Not gonna lie...I kind of want meta on the spurs this year. He's done in the sense that manu is done. Which is not a primary offensive guy but am experienced basketball guru. Someone to put balls on kawhi.
Am I just a dumb name fan.?.. Or would any one else take meta for the minimum....?. Especially if it meant getting rid of bobble head or simmons.

he's been finished since 2010, tbh..
NBA fans love washed up big names, especially fans that grew up watching ty 90s ball..being a tough goon like MWP doesn't amount to anything in today's league which rewards skills like shooting and passing..
A large number of fans here wanted to pick up Caron Butler and Danny Granger after their buyouts just 2 years ago, many of them claiming they could replace DG, some even going as far as saying they could take some of Kawhi's minutes..
Fans and media are enamored with names, same morons that thought Rondo was a big pickup for the Mavs..

Metta playing out-of-position would be an upgrade at starting PG for the Spurs, tbh, even at age 35.

Artest is done. In 2014 he played for the Knicks and scored 5 points a game and shot 40%. He isnt the defender that he once was. He cant play full time SF, and has to play small ball 4, and only in garbage time. I don't know why you wouldn't want to give those minutes to a D Leaguer. It is not like Artest can be a good role model to young players.

Metta co-hosted ESPN LA with John Ireland and Steve Mason earlier in the summer. I listened to the entire radio show and he said a lot of good things about the spurs and Kawhi. He said Kawhi reminds him of himself when he was younger. He also talked about coming back to the NBA, and now they announce he is joining the Lakers. Guess he was already talking to the lakers front office after they drafted russell because he's been mentoring him and randle in L.A. ever since summer league finished.

LOL no. BUT I'd still rather have Jefferson, Jackson, or Putin as our backup small forward instead of Ninehead.
