Yes. No. So what.
This young lady explains her experience of how I helped her turn her life around...when I saw her waiting tables in a restaurant offered her a job...and came to pick her up in my white van that said " jesus saves" on the side and convinced her to leave her boyfriend...
It's quite likely a goofy rabbi existed who was killed for some crime against religion, and that he had 12 followers. There have been many over the years. So what? What if he lived, and died, and what if he was resurrected and walked among us? What he he did all sorts of miracles. How does any of that support his doctrine?
And there's been no convincing evidence to support the existence of any deity, much less one who gives a about what you draw.
I see a whole bunch of no.. None of the yes...and so what.
This is not proof god lived and or existed.. I want proof.. Not some stupid talking about stupid .
there is literally no proof unless you are a who attributes what science cannot yet explain must somehow prove god exists or you want to bend and twist interpretations of fairy tale books. there is literally zero real evidence of any god. there's a reason they claim to rely on "faith" which is literally belief without evidence
There's no shortage of evidence. That's always been the case. Its that the evidence piece by piece isn't particularly strong. Not a good sign when it takes so many small pieces of evidence in order to justify a conclusion vs. a single indisputable piece.
Especially when the conclusion is made a priori.
"no shortage of evidence"
okay.
Just shortage of a defendant.
Religion and it's followers are still, thousands of years and all the power later, trying to tidy up their doctrine. They don't have time for existential arguments. Any time you see an argument about the existence of god, at least three things happen:
1. It's argued that you cannot disprove god's existence
2. Religion's merits are argued
3. Atheism is labeled a religion in a "tu quoque" style argument.
Then it digresses to faith and you'll be prayed for, which is a welcomed change since religion has preyed ON us for most of history.
The terms anno Domini… (A.D.) and before Christ…(B.C.) are used to label or number years in the Julian and Gregorian calendars….The term anno Domini is Medieval Latin, which means in the year of the Lord but is often translated as in the year of our Lord….It is occasionally set out more fully as anno Domini nostri Iesu (or Jesu) Christi ("in the year of Our Lord Jesus Christ")
So basically we measure time Before Christ & After…
Pretty girl. Bad family life. No self confidence and not exactly smart. = very tough life
So for her, some guidance in whatever form, is a good thing.
Seems pretty simple.
I don't buy the Bible stories, I think we are seeing something close to Homer/mythology there. Stories that were written by man, not unlike all the myths. Obviously we can't have the Bible and the Koran, yep, both total bull .
But.....
I do believe in there is "something" so far beyond our human limitations we simply can't fathom it. We are still stuck on...."oh yeah, well prove it", because we are simple. There is no doubt we didn't...BANG!!!!!!!!!! or just happen by chance. So there is "something" that designed all this, and it should be obvious. What that is we really have no idea so we make up trying to explain it, us humans need an explanation for everything. This being the one we can't explain.
Imagine what people thought seeing that old moon just hanging there. It had to be..."how is this possible?" We are there as far as God goes.
I get this impressioin all those we see here all worried about God/Bible/religion don't say about it to all those they know who do believe in some God which is most people. So they come herre to hide and talk about it.
I'd bet 90% of those...bah humbuggers....came from religious families.
The bottom line is real simple, most people simply want more than this so they have it because it makes them feel better about life. They don't care about you little s with your...."oh yeah, well can ya prove it, huh huh huh?" they see you guys as poor little s who need help.
Notice how most these atheists are pricks?
does this mean you're not ready to school us on adam and eve?
I look forward to any and all evidence for Jesus OUTSIDE of the early centuries' relentless Christian marketing strategy.

Almost all major world religions acknowledge Jesus's role in history. Islam, Judaism, Christianity and even some secular people. Even those who despise him acknowledge him.
There is recorded evidence of his existence, his ministry, and his death. The Jews despise his teachings but they acknowledge him readily.
Most of all, the truth He brought to this world, the truth that is still feeding countless numbers of people, physically and spiritually, is a testament to his existence and his divine nature.

Watch "Is Jesus Real? - Non-biblical Evidence of His Existence" on YouTube
https://youtu.be/4bLlpiWh9-k
"Everyone says the Bible is written by men, but the Bible says it was men who were directly inspired by God. But I didn't believe it for a minute. So I start reading and I start discovering and you have 66 books written by 40 different authors spread over three different continents, in three different languages, over a 2,000-year period. Most of the authors did not know each other, had no knowledge of each other, but yet I see consistently that they're not just answering each other's questions, they're finishing each other's sentences. It was mind-boggling, the deeper I got into it, and one day it hit me like a shot. I'm reading the living word of a living God. After that, I was just scratching the surface. Then, when you get even deeper into it, it's beyond comprehension.
"I cannot say it strongly enough. It is beyond impossible that it could've been written by men. I'm a writer, and even the writers that I know that I admire, I look at how we write, I know what our limitations are, and, like I said, it's so far beyond our comprehension."
Jesus was a real person. Jesus in the Bible is a heavily fictionalized version of him. The Bible in general is a weird combination of history and fairy tales, edited in a slapdash manner.
