??? No way. Way too high.....
Hey Brew, what is Tony rated in the game???![]()
Dunno. I just saw this posted on another site. But it's fitting that he's nowhere on this list.
Well EA's ratings are kinda low.
Just more proof the better game is 2K6. 5 players better than Tim? Bull .
Duncan is right around where he should be, considering the season he just came off of.
With the games missed due to injuries, and the career low stats for points and reb, its understandable where NBA live put him. They dont make that rankin on history, but wats happening right now. If they werent doin that, then Heat fans would also have something to gripe about with Shaq's position.
Then how is Shawn "Still Seeing Bowen In My Head" Marion a friggin' 91?They dont make that rankin on history, but wats happening right now.
You guys should see some of the other ones. Rip Hamilton is a 76. Where as Josh Smith is an 80, Andre Iguodala is a 83 (which is also higher than Chauncey), and Gerald-friggin-Wallace is a 77. It's laughable at best. I'll stick to the 2K series.

Wat problem u got with Marion and his 91.The rankin goes by the most recent season completed before the game is completed, which i am assumin was this 04-05 season, in which Marion actually had some sick stats, and thats where he got his ranking. Most likely the playoffs werent included, and if it was , then he would've probably gotten an even higher rankin without the playoffs.
You said it went off recent history. Recent history was him getting punked against the Spurs to the tune that one of the game developers could have probably matched his stats.
Live has always had this stupid ass problem of someone who dunks a lot gets ranked higher than the guys who actually have some depth to their game outside of what you see on Sportscenter. They might as well rename the game NBA Jam.
It's why I go with 2K6.
Its why you update the rosters.
check out nba-live.com or nbalive.org
I think this is about Stats.![]()
The ratings are usally stupid in NBA Live. "Big Names" still got "big games" (Glen Rice anyone) Another problem I see with NBA live is that the 3 point shooters are the best players. If one figured out how to get open with Reggie Miller in last years game one could score 50 ppg with him.
Also, Brent Barry is awesome in a video game because his dunk rating is still close to 99 (it's not 1996 anymore!) and his 3's are great(true). So he's like the perfect player in a video game.
Ballhandling doesn't mean jack if one doesn't try a crazy crossover. Speed, Dunk, and Shot rating is all that matters in a video game. I hope there's some improvment in the live series this year.
I was really dissapointed with Nba live 2005 because there was no fast breaks and it was hard to dunk on people because the defender had some force that sucked in every ball so that it was blocked. I wish Konami would make a basketball game. Pro evolution Soccer is a great game as far as feeling goes. Maybe they could make a as good basketball game.
so the game is saying D. Nowitzki is worst than R. Jefferson yea right
This is misleading.
Tim Duncan is not going to have a higher rating than LeBron James because LeBron is quicker, more athletic, better ball handler, better passer, better 3 point shooter, better at stealing the ball, better at dunking, better at Free Throws. That is the truth, so when you add up all his overall ratings in a Video Game he is going to be higher than Tim Duncan who's main strengths are somewhat harder to show in a video game.
We know Tim Duncan is a more effective and important player than LeBron James, but in a Video game which can't replicate intangibles, the tangible things that you can see and measure will place LeBron higher than Tim.

if you play point guard, you should have some playmaking skills. am i right??
Ah, yer looking at LIVE. That's the problem. Sega 2k6 is more realistic.![]()
Duncan was a 99 on NBA Live 04, and also on ESPN 2K5.
Shawn Marion with the same rating as Duncan!? OMG, what a stupid f-ing game. Also, why the is Kirilenko so highly rated? He's a nice player, but come on. Rasheed Wallace an 89??? Jack asses.
I know Fabricio Oberto is new to the league, but damn. And you gotta love how Parker has dropped from an 81 to a 77. Tony, find a f-ing jump shot and start passing the rock more. ha ha
