Is doing everything but hitting his shots. Those of you who can't recognize his value in other areas besides 3 PT shooting are re ed tbh.

LDN's defense actually got better over the offseason imo. Passing as well.
The way he plays the passing lane with kawhi, must be a nightmare for the opposing team.

The big problem though is we can't keep on relying on 2 pt shots to win games, so we need Danny to get out of this slump sooner rather than later.
Verde is streaky. Always has been. They'll start falling again.

His shot has been way off and he has been mistake prone too, that is why we saw Anderson in the first Q. But his shot will come around, and he cleaned up his mistakes for the rest of the game. He'll come around, and when his shot is falling, we'll really be blowing out teams.
This literally happens every season, tbh..no hyperbole, there is always a 3-week stretch where half the forum wants Green benched..I'm not seeing much of that right now, though, I think everybody is accustomed to it, as frustrating as it is..
Green and Mills are the only volume 3-point shooters on the team, sadly..

-Boris sucks never shoots the ball
-Aldridge doesn't play defense
-Splitter is awful can't dunk or shoot (most common)
-Manu is done just turns the ball over
Agreed. But don't forget Timmy and a surprising good LMA.
I never forget Timmy. His role is now to be the rim protector and he's doing well, imagine having to go through kawhi or danny only to be greeted by Timmy under the basket
LMA has also been solid too. Not as great as Splitter but not so far behind on that aspect as well.
The Spurs are giving up under 90 ppg. Kawhi and Danny are the two biggest reasons for that.
Tim and LMA are great too. Our starting line-up is a defensive juggernaut.

He missed a couple of pretty open looks tonight - it happens. Mostly, the other teams have left a defender on him, and haven't given him those kinds of shots. Carmello Anthony is one of the very best scorers in the league, and you see what happens when he's defended well. He went 4-17 tonight. The fact is, the other teams respect Danny's 3P shooting, even if some ST fans don't. As long as they are sticking with him like that, he's serving a purpose out there, even when the shots don't fall. On the nights they sag off him a little, he'll go ape- crazy.
If he was only an offensive player, it might be a different story.
Well, the Spurs' FO is notoriously bad at evaluating talent - he's clearly not worth the minimum. You should apply for a job.
Greens shooting usually determines if the Spurs win by 6-8 or by 20+ tbh
You should know better than that. defenders don't magically turn into good defenders bc they have one decent game.
Agreed on most of it but his shooting sucks, we need a reliable shooter for the playoffs and DG has been a POS vs the Clips, you can preach all the great D but if you cant score you are harming the team.
Sorry, but that logic is just re ed man. His defensive impact easily outweighs any shooting slumps and it's not even close.
Nope, if he could make a couple shots Manu could play less minutes he is not taking more responsibilities and how the he is just a D guy? he was supposed to be a 3&D guy what was he doing during offseason?
His defensive impact is nothing if other guys cant step up, he was valuable because he could sink 4 3pointers on any given night and contribute to a more diverse offense.
There are no absolutes he is sucking bad and remember Spurs are playing bad teams. with good teams he will be exposed.
