Lol deflecting
I believe Aldridge will be fine and I expected the adjustment to take a few months, I don't see this Spurs gelling until February/March(as I said during the preseason), but it's very disappointing that he spent the off-season on the Oliver Miller diet, tbh..he looks noticeably slower and less athletic than he did in Portland..
I noticed the weight gain in preseason and I mentioned it here, but I let it go, figured I was overreacting..however, the other night on NBA TV, Antonio Davis and the other "analyst" made the same observation about Aldridge looking a little chubby(they were joking around about it)..smh..
Boris Diaw is his nutritionist.
Aldridge can't shoot jumpers. He needs to take on the old TD role or he's done. Playing like a 7M/year player so far this year, at best.
He def looks fat and just kinda sluggish out there
He is the 2nd coming of Big Baby...what a waste of cap space.
He just isn't as quick as the rest of the other Spurs.
a tad, yes..to the point the body grease is causing him butterfingers with all that unforced ball fumbling![]()
I think he was bulking up on purpose.
He definitely looks fat and significantly slower and with less jumping ability.
He's just trying to endear himself to the community and embody the San Antonio lifestyle tbh.
I agree.....runs out of gas ...
Why don't we begin starting threads on players who DID NOT GET ING FAT
hater
Made this observation in preseason too and got blasted on..He really does look heavier now
Maybe the Spurs asked him to? Knowing he was going to play Center and due to the lack of personnel to bang down low?
...Mugen has been on fire lately.
I was saying to a workmate during the preseason that I thought he looks overweight. I also said that his vertical seems to have decreased, and that is either because he's overweight or you must automatically lose 10 inches on your vertical leap when you join the Spurs. Soon as you sign with the Spurs, it's like your vertical automatically decreases.
I wonder if he put that weight on on purpose because he was expecting to play more center?
I hope they didn't ask him to gain weight, it would be pretty silly, considering none of their challengers have a post player that requires that much attention..I highly doubt it, tbh..
He looks slow, though..couldn't even get separation or a step against Nene tonight, and Nene is one of the slowest players in the entire league..
