A decision is expected by June 2016.

The case is one of several on the court’s docket that have the potential to raise new hurdles to class-action lawsuits. The court next week will hear arguments in perhaps the biggest of the bunch, involving a lawsuit by pork-processing workers against Tyson FoodsInc. That case examines the extent to which plaintiffs can use statistical methods to determine legal liability and class-action damages.
