I am happy with my state (Florida) - no income tax, 6% sales tax, low property taxes (and increases capped at 3%/year), free ride for National Merit Scholars to some state universities, $6300/yr state university tuition, good percentage funded on Florida's pensions (future not strapped by under-funded liabilities), freedom/la itude in education (public, charter, homeschooling, Florida Virtual School) and (nothing to do with government) Disney World. I don't know how corrupt they are - but the RESULTS (services provided for the amount of taxes I pay) are pretty good.
