Tyreke Evans, Quincy Pondexter, & Norris Cole haven't touched the floor yet due to injury. Jrue Holiday is on a 25 minute restriction and cannot play in B2B's until he is cleared. Omer Asik finally returned last night but in limited minutes. Kendrick Perkins is out 2-3 months.

With that being said, the Pelicans aren't exactly a deep team. Their bench sucks and those bench players have been playing starter minutes.

Add to that the fact that Gentry's fast paced system has backfired due to poor defense and lack of playmakers, and you have a 1-6 record.

The Pelicans need to try and survive until they get their players back.

imo a lottery pick would be godsend for this team. you guys need a legitimate sf really bad. You guys also need perimeter defenders all over the rotation

Even more important than that is Gordon's horrible contract ends after this season. This will free up a lot of space and the hope is that the Pelicans can draw some solid players that want to come play with AD.

that smells a lot like flushing the team down the toilet.. Most of ugly rebuilding processes start with dumping a good overpaid player . It may sound strange, but if you think about it, it's true. You'd be better off resigning him for less money, because none is coming to the pelicans in free agency. The free agency process in general, is not like it was.

Sure, I'd love to resign him for less. What are the chances he will be willing to do that?

He played great in the first half and it was a blowout at halftime. No need for him to try and make the injury worse. Hopefully he returns in a couple days.

Yeah I saw his numbers. About time Asik got inserted next to AD, tbh.. Gentry is an idiot, Perkins smh
