Losing Lewis and now Edleman. I wasn't 100% sold on Edleman before the season started but now I don't think there is any other player on that team that was as much on the same page as Brady.
They've got other very good options at WR and RB but all of them are a step from Lewis and Edleman who were perfect for that system. Wonder if they would have gone after Welker if he were still available.

And their defense is a little suspect to me. They can shut down one good WR but if a team has dual threats, they could give NE a lot of trouble. Pittsburgh comes to mind with Brown and Bryant. Not to mention a top shelf RB with Williams.
    And of course Ben.

With a 4 game lead in their divisiion, no worries. They don't have to go undefeated.

I'm not saying they won't make the playoffs. They're still one of the best teams in the NFL. I just think their SB chances dropped to 50/50 or less.

I was under the impression Edelman will be back by playoffs. Yep, if he isn't that is a huge loss.

There's still no AFC team that can hang with them--I'd give Pitt a puncher's chance if they had Bell, but even still...

This, but I really like DeAgelo Williams for them. Even though he's old he's still very underrated. Need to see how he holds up the rest of the way before I can say they still have a shot.

More touches for Gronk is a good thing, but he could be completely worn out if they go deep into the playoffs.

Injuries, there are guys who you couldnt replace. Dallas with Romo was contender, stacked. Without him, they fall apart.

there is still hope for the playoffs tbh edelman should return, and the line could be vollmer-mason-andrews-stork-cannon as soon as next week. Likely it won't, but as long as they aren't IRed I stay hopeful.

Would love to see them go after Dri Archer to replace Lewis, if he isn't already taken.
