You dont need a doctor, you need some balls.

Take pliers and pull the toenail off. Fixed.

    Total Cost: $5 for pliers.

Dude, you've never done the "piece of cotton" thing?

Take a cotton ball, and tear off a small piece. Soak it in alcohol. Use the BLUNT end of a needle to push it under the toenail on the ingrown side, pushing it up a bit away from the nail bed. In a day or two, you can use the BLUNT end to retrieve the cotton, and put another piece in.

omg! I thought I was the only one who's ever done that!
except I cut off the pad part of a bandaid and use that. works in like 2 or 3 days.

of course then I go in for a physical like 2 months later... and my doctor tells me: "your cutting your toenails too short - that'll give you ingrowns" !!

    OBWG, google for "ingrown toenail"

    http://familydoctor.org/208.xml

... just stuffin stuff under the nail.

another trick/aid is a v-notch in the middle of the nail

keep germ-count low with hydrogen peroxide (under a $1/pint)

    What's a doc gonna cost? $200+ ?

Yeah, cutting the nail too short is definitely the cause. Don't listen to Jim. He's part of the money sucking health apparatus.

    It really does work.

To avoid ingrown toenails, you should cut your nails straight across. The top of the nail should make a straight line.
    I never cut straight across

Well, when her toe becomes infected and needs to be amputated.

btw, if you're diabetic, I'd strongly recommend that you don't try that at home.

Hey Jim, my little brother had a filling fall out recently. It had been there for like 10 years, and it isn't causing him any pain or anything like that. How important is it that he gets it re-filled?

Usually when a filling falls out, it is because there is recurrent decay in the tooth. He needs to get it checked and replaced. If you wait til it hurts, it usually requires a root canal at that point, which is expensive. Have him go asap, and then it is a lot less expensive.
