Jordan's palm, is it even bigger than Kawhi's ? No wonder Kobe is so damn jealous about it.

Jordan averaged 20/gm in his late 30's playing for the wizards,,,,and look at kobrick now. The MJ comparision was ridiculous,,,kobrick is the most overrated sidekick of all time,,,

Kawhi and Jordan's hand size are very close. Kobe was always jealous of Jordan's hand size, but then Kobe is usually that way.

"Sidekick" would imply that he was ever the second option on a team that won anything instead of a minor role player with an ego.

Kiwi's father was murdered too and since MJ is not autist and socially awkward that's where the similarities end.

They both have Finals MVPs and DPOYs, as well

    Does Kirby have the latter?

But yeah, Kawhi actually has the efficiency to be compared to MJ unlike that fraud in LA. He's got the MJ midrange and fadeaway down too:

I can't remember Jordan raping anyone. To this point in his career, Leonard has also avoided this Kobe signature move.

Kawhi's game is very different from Jordan's. Kawhi actually evolved his offensive game to one that was based on close range shots to one of mid range and long range shots. It is interesting that in the age where the mid range shot is viewed as some sort of sin against the game of basketball (only 11% of shots were launched from 10-16 feet up to the 3pt line), Kawhi is launching about 21% of his shots from that range. His mid-range game is very smooth, and he creates a lot of shots from his stop and pops from mid range, which opens up the lane for him to drive, and give the Spurs chances to cut into the lane for a pass and a layup while he is driving.

That is a very 80s types offensive game, where we see guys like Alex English master. Obviously, defensively, Kawhi is light years ahead of English, who really played no defense back in the day.

I am interested to see yet another iteration of the Spurs, going from the twin towers (98 to about 01), to 4-down/inside out (02 to about 04), to inside out with increased number of cuts (05 to about 08) to perimeter heavy drive in the lane (09 to about 11/12) to motion based (12 to 13/14). There seems to be more isolations with Leonard and Aldridge lately, and the number of 3s are dropping and moving towards mid range shots.. Perhaps Pop is playing to the strength of the Spurs, or perhaps Pop realized that with the recent movement, nobody is defending the mid rangers anymore and therefore attacking everybody's weak points. The Spurs are currently 2nd in the league in shots from 10-16 feet and fourth in shots from 16 up to the 3 pt line (I believe #1 from 10 up to the 3 pt line, and only the Blazers are close), but they are still ranking 3rd in Ortg and #2 (a distant #2 to GSW) in eFG%.

Looked at his numbers for the first time this year..

Is this actually shooting 47% from 3pt on 4 attempts a game? probably going to end up much better than Scottie Pippen

Kawhi will never be the scorer Kirbs was, but peak Leonard will be better than peak Kobe when you consider the overall package (defense, rebounding, floor impact). Leonard is the best perimeter defender I've seen. Can't put him above Scottie in that regard yet for all-time, since Scottie did it for a decade, but current Leonard is a better defensive player than Scottie was.

My bad. Should have clarified. Jordan was much of a post up mid range shooter later in his career. His earlier career was more of a stop and pop game and drive to the basket game.

Kawhi was most pick and pop and stop and pop now.
