Some of our guys have had rough shooting years so far. Danny Green, but also Patty Mills. It occurred to me that the accounting concept of sunk costs (which, by conventional wisdom, should be ignored for the purposes of decisions affecting the future) is very applicable to shooting slumps.

Thus, all the cliches about great shooters are correct.

-No conscience: What's done is done. You took good shots. You just missed.

-Short memory: Essential! Forget about it. You missed a shot? Last quarter? Last possession? That was like a million years ago.

    [and finally]

-Next one is going in: Optimism. One of the first things you find in military survival guides. A positive mental at ude. Not, how to build a fire or hunt with a twig and a piece of flint. If you haven't got optimism, then the rest doesn't matter.

Ok guys (and gals). Just my thoughts on the shooting woes. It's been a great year so far! The Bulls game was a bummer, but we can't have everything go right 100% of the time.

    Go Spurs go!!!

Bench Duncan, start Diaw. Let TD anchor the bench and keep a big man on the floor at almost all times.

Wait... what thread am I in?

    Agree.
    13-3 is a good start.
Yes the losses stunk but it's all correctable.

Noah played really well and the Bulls at home are not slouches.
