Great video, I'd like to see the same but from the other team's point of view, on how to successfully read it and defend it.
Didn't see this posted before.

I liked the elevator play Sean described nicely during a broadcast of one of the last games ...
Does anyone have a video link to the Spurs actually running the second version, where the PG passes it to the SF at the top of the 3 point line? I don't remember seeing that version, though I've never looked for it the way I do for the classic corner 3 version.
Closest I could find is this, where Manu decides to go for that solution very early in the play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6UyLxCuy3w&t=0m7s
That play was for Patty? I remember Sean describing how well our two bigs close up after Patty runs through the double screen.
There's also a wing hammer play:
And there is the version that Dallas ran against the Spurs this season that got Matthews and open three. It looked like an elevator play, the the Mavs never really opened to let Matthews through. They just hit Kawhi with a double-hammer.
yeah, that was for Patty ... it was really well executed ... and he made the shot
Patty actually runs that wing hammer play all the time.
Cheers for the diagrams.![]()
Entire Spurs playbook was online a couple years ago, like 150 pages. Wish I would have saved it.
