    it's a known fact that he was the very definition of cheating D. One of the many reasons why he couldn't get to the playoffs without a top 3 center and other perimeter defenders.

    Kobe played point...2 guard..and defended the opposition's best player...all while Tammy stood in the paint with his hands up begging for the ball....Tammy didnt have the same responsibilities or challenges as Kobe...night after night Tammy was up against scrubs while Kobe defending the most athletic players the league has seen in 3 decades....

    Like JVG, I get more excited over defensive pressure than offensive greatness. I think it comes from watching too many great offensive players who don't play defense, and that's offensive to me.

    First, you owe me a quote where I said it.

    Second, Kobe had 14 out of 20 seasons where he had a DBPM of <0.

    Third, he never led his team in DRTG, or even anywhere approaching the top.

    Fourth, defensive highlights doesn't mean being a strong defensive player.
