I am thrilled to find out that I am moving back to SA in the near future!!!! There are a number of things that I miss about spurs country that most take for granted. What do you miss most about SA? Here is my list of ten:

- you hit it right on the head "....new homes that cost less than $300T.." How about a a $175T home that actually costs $175T instead of $300T---->see dallas market
A rarety in today's world
btw Friscospur, what is the "miltary drive"?
spelling --OOPs!
-just cruising on Military Drive....a true staple of san antonio....
Hey, we have Olive Garden's here in Philly!
Living here in Tacoma Washington the last two years has been an eye opener. My neighbors know me as the weird guy who waves when they drive by. Oh well, what do you expect from a bunch of Sonics fans? I look forward to the day I can settle in with a plate of breakfast tacos, a large iced tea and the Express News sports page...Ahh sweet Nirvana.
mmm... Chesters hamburgers.
Living there makes you long for the Express-News? Yikes.
Dont they shut military down on weekends still? Havent been down there on sunday in a long time. Used to put cop cars in every parking lot.
Almost every spurs game on Tv.
Folklife festival
Fiesta
Mexican food that is not TEX-MEX
I go to SA once or 2 a month and it seems like hwy system is getting much worse than it use to be will all toll roads they are planning to build. As far as traffic goes still best city hwy system in Tx.
Oh and it would be nice again to be able to afford to live in the same city that I worked in like I did in San Antonio. Damn, I wish I could work out of my home or my job would transfer me to San Antonio.
You know what. San Antonio Mexican food isn't all that. I really believe that Mexican food in Denver off of Federal is the best. Its actually Mexican food. Not Tex Mex. I am not knocking SA. I love this city and will never move as long as I can help it, but the Mex. food in Denver is way better.
anybody know authenitic, good Greek, Turk, Indian restaurants in SA?
They weren't there when I lived there, but I miss Malik's sammiches nonetheless.
Moved to Western PA last month:
Don't Miss: HEAT, Traffic, Walter & Jeff
Miss:
A sports report that says anything about anything other than the Steelers - literally last Sun. they ran hilights from only 1 game - and the score of only one more! Opening weekend in the NFL. I'm figuring when the NBA starts this is an absolute black hole.
Barbecue - Went to what was supposed to be the best butcher in town - took 'em 4 tries before they could bring me a brisket that could actually be smoked - and that's the only way I'm going to get it.
Sausage - EVERYTHING up here is one or another version of bologna, Italian sausage or brattwurst - which are fine in there own right, but in SA we are kind of spoiled with the selection of good smoked, hot links, etc...from our local sausage shops (Kiolbasa, Opa's, etc)
Chorizo - variation of above, but COMPLETELY unattainable
When the winter gets here I'm sure I'll have a much longer list.
Too many jokes. Must...lay...down!Chorizo - variation of above, but COMPLETELY unattainable

Hmmm....
Chester's
Taco Cabana
Riverwalk
Spurs games in person
Mexican girls that put out
Taco Cabana
Round the clock Spurs coverage
A highway system that wasn't designed by chimps and constantly under construction
zoning laws
fresh air
humidity less that 165%
the riverwalk
flood control
Watch for the black salsa at las palapas... or something will be "ploping" in your toilet.
I've been around the state, around the country and around the world. Incredibly, the Express News is much better than most of the city papers that I come across. I'm probably just biased because nobody else carries enough Spurs news.
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
