Regular season doesn't matter. Never has. Spurs will win.
...and will likely be worse against GSW. All it's taking is 1 ball screen and they're getting a wide open shot from either Blake or Paul. LMA can't cover ground fast enough against a PG/PF combo that can both shoot midrange, and TD is even more hopeless against anything but a DJ isolation.
Doesn't help that Pop's defensive scheme is probably the worst thing you could play against teams with shooting PF/PG and an athletic C.
Down 5 and Pop starts hacking when they take out CP3. I might throw something at my TV tbh

Glad we gave the LAC ~1 PPP for three minutes by hacking Jordan when their bench unit without CP3 is one of the worst in the league...
Purposely going into the bonus with 9m left
astonishingly bad tbh
I take it back what I said about LMA + TD
Mods can delete this thread
Pop just has no idea how to coach against this team tbh
OP is unplayable on Spurstalk.
Don't look to the mods to clean up your embarrasing mess.
Takes a special kind of coward to hind behind an alt when we don't know who you are irl anyway
Eh. Danny Green was the one screwing the pooch on D all game for the most part. I'm having serious second thoughts on that hefty $10m/year contract, tbh
That's one alt that needs to be retired.
You can't stop the Clippers, you just have to torch them on the other end just like the D'Antoni Suns.
Wrong thread
Yeah except those two closed out the game in a big way. So wrong.
Agree with you Storm.
Op is one of the worst posters
TD & LMA were great out there. Scary to think what their ceiling is offensively when they fully figure out each other's games. The high low action was awesome.
The hack-a was AWFUL in the third quarter. Not only are you opting to give them 1 PPP as you correctly note (possibly more if giving up OReb, though Deandre at line minimizes the chance at that) when Austin Rivers is on the floor with scrubs, but you're letting CP3 who was VISIBLY tired get extra minutes to rest. Each DJ FT sequence is like an extra minute of game rest.
In the fourth, once they got into early foul trouble I was fine doing that once the starters were back in. Smart strategy then, as starters are way better than 1 PPP.
Playoffs are generally more physical, and are more half court sets. Small ball may not be as effective in the post season. The Spur depth will allow for more physical play inside. The key will be how well the perimeter can crowd the shooters and drive them into the defense, aka twin tower defense.
