I get it, a lot of people can not admit defeat -- , our neighbors down south are pissed it is fat San Antonian's stomping around the Alamo and not them. But to be so arrogant about it? The article really portrayed PG as arrogant, like the reigning DPOY is not capable of guarding him, not capable of shutting him down. It seems like Kawhi is leaving his mark on the league this year and other top players just can't accept the great season Leonard is having.
What do you guys think? Think PG's statements were as bad as KD's?
Article blew it up tbh. There were definitely some open shots for PG when Kawhi wasn't on the floor. Nothing big here.

I'm sure the article is doing a disservice to Paul George, but that line about it not being Kawhi, Kawhi wasn't even in the plays seems like a subtle jab. It may just be the context of the article.

Meh, I don't think its a big deal. It was probably a little of both - sickness and playing against the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year. The Spurs won the game, Kawhi outplayed him, and the team is now on a 6 game win streak. NEXT.
To be fair, I just saw an interview on sportscenter with George saying Kawhi is a great player and that he saw this as a fun matchup and a "game within a game" in facing up against him. Still, his excuses about being sick all of a sudden is pathetic.

Hey it's not like his face wasn't already injured before this.
I went back a re-watched the game. Out of PG's 14 misses, Kawhi had a part in only 4 or 5 of them. He missed off-balance 3's and some pretty easy makes. He didn't look right when shooting either. His form was off. His only FG was a nice 3 with KL guarding him. I'm not sure why he played bad but Kawhi was not the main reason. On several possessions he had no trouble losing Leonard off screens. He shot an airball 3 with Manu guarding him and 2 other 3 pointers with Tony and Tim guarding him.
I guess the OP is thinking outside himself.
