Very interesting on Hakeem and Drexler being in his top 5 to play against. Those two were in the waning years of their careers when Kobe came into the league....
He also said that the top five teams he’s ever played against during his time in the NBA are the 2000 Sacramento Kings, 2008 Boston Celtics, 2004 Detroit Pistons and 1996 Chicago Bulls and the San Antonio Spurs “almost any year.” He also discussed other topics, such as how the Lakers should handle moving on without him next season and dismissing the possibility of a post NBA-career.

Starting to like Kobe a little more...
Tim is peerless just like Kareem; you never hear Bird claim Kareem was one of the top 5 players he faced. It's assumed that Tim/Kareem are on everyone's list that faced them by default & no mention is necessary. (Just like Jordan being everyone's all-time top 5 list)
2000 Kings: Peja wasn't even a starter, no Bobby Jackson/Doug Christie...I guess he didn't want to bring up '02 when the Kings were playing 5-on-6 (Donaghy)
96 Bulls: He never faced them & never faced the Jordan Bulls in the playoffs
Kobe not mentioning Tim says it all very clearly. Kobe can't handle the fact there was a better player than himself during his time frame. It's fantastic stuff. Kobe doing everything he can not to utter the name Duncan.
It's like Jordan being SALTY & never mentioning Isiah Thomas b/c the Pistons used to torment him, I guess Kobe wants to be like Mike.
