Ugh sucks that Leonard could miss out on starting because of Kobe's lifetime achievement spot.
Leonard, Duncan, Aldridge, Manu, and Parker getting some love.
Ugh sucks that Leonard could miss out on starting because of Kobe's lifetime achievement spot.
^ Fixed my post. Can't believe I missed him.
Leonard isn't that far behind Griffin. How cool would it be to see him overtake him to start. Any case, nice to see him up there at least.
Since when is Kobe in the frontcourt?
Kahwi will be there.. So who cares if he starts?
Eh let Kobe have his send off. Kawhi will be there for the next decade.
True, and all star games are meaningless but Kawhi deserves that recognition. Regardless, he'll be there like you said.
Probably since the NBA didn't want him taking a spot from Westbrook or Curry.
I'm going to start writing in McGrady on my ballots if Bryant can get on this allstar team.
someone in authority for this site ought to pin a thread at the top of the list to remind us to vote for our Spur all-stars.
HMMM. "Someone in authority for this site" seems to be an oxymoron. Oh, well...whatever.
Why would Kawhi want to take part in a game where Luke Walton is going to be his coach and he's not supposed to play defense?
It just struck me that the total votes shown for the West far exceed those for the East. Are the Western Conference teams that much better at getting their fans to vote or are there way more players in the East getting just a few votes?
Interesting to see what they do with the Western Conference HC position if GS and the Spurs are still 1-2 on the cutoff date. Kerr was the HC for the West last year and they normally have the HC of the second place team coach rather than have someone coach in consecutive years. So what will they do if Kerr hasn't returned by that date? I imagine that Pop would just as soon have the week off, but it is something to watch.
Cavs and/or OKC may very well have better records than us by that time. I expect the Spurs to start losing soon... a lot.
Cavs are in the Eastern Conference. And it was posed as a hypothetical dependent on the top two teams in the West remaining in the same position on the cutoff date.
How the is rondo above parker?
Pop will lobby for Walton to get the nod..old man wants no part of making the trip to Canada for 3 days of meaningless exhibition activities![]()
the same way Kobe is leading in votes.
The LGBT community is really voting in large numbers?
Leonard is in the all star game this year-- it's a lock. If he doesn't get the votes, he'll be one of the first picks by the coaching staff.
Its bs how Kobe is going to get voted in when he doesn't deserve to be there but Kawhi will still get in. The spurs have the second best record in the West so they are guaranteed to get at least 1 all-star due to the coaches voting for the reserves. Kawhi gets in simply because he's the best player on the Spurs this year and the coaches know that. This effects LMA more than Kawhi since he's on the bubble of being an all-star this year and will probably be the one who gets snubbed due to Kobe taking that spot.
Kobe deserves it . It's the all star game not all NBA team. He is a star of the highest magnitude. The fans want to see him.
LMA won't make it not because of deserving legends like Tim/Dirk but Kirby.I hope LMA goes beast mode like he did back in 2011 when he got snubbed. I'm also hoping Tony doesn't make it so he can keep playing w/ a chip on his shoulder instead of reverting into a content fat pig.

They have to start using the Electoral college system to mitigate the Chinese votes, tbh. Kirby all of a sudden became a SF b/c he didn't want to split votes w/ Curry/Westbrook.He announced his retirement a week before the voting opened to pick up all the sentimental votes while it's still top story, dude is a calculation diva.

Kobe's receiving a single vote is pathetic.
