IIRC apa did predict it, tbh
not even apalisoc_9 would have predicted this...
Having said that, you don't need be a krew member/playerfan to see the awryness of forgetting about your best player when the game is still in play..Unless you've been living under a rock, these Spurs are different from the 2012-2014 iteration..i would rather die with KL taking up THE shots if it comes down to a few of them....
Unbelievable numbers. People keep saying that he's going to regress to "the mean", but this just may be "the mean".
What a monster along with that D. He changes entire gameplans with his mere presence. That's superstar level stuff right there.
I'll never forget that grimace by Lebron back in '13 when Kawhi was inserted back into the game.
True moment of pure honesty on his face in that moment.
you mean recording month with the above shooting efficiency of three of the 4 greatest shooters to ever play the game? don't think so..not even Curry has had month like this yet...
He won't be putting up these number in April, May or June, regular season player.
It makes you wonder how much that eye infection and mysterious wrist sprain had derailed his ascendancy last season..the shot from all areas has gotten noticeably smoother...
that 8% jump in FT shooting is mind-boggling..I'll wait until playoffs pressure situations, but he is approaching my confidence level in prime Ginobili when it comes to knocking down FT to close out games..I don't want to see Parker or even current Manu near the ball in late second fouling situation, tbh..
He has been insane this year. Started the season strong and has just improved as it went on. I only hope he has the stamina to keep up this kind of effort for the whole season.
- Larry Bird must have been a real pain in the ass to play against. Wizard smart player that can see the whole court and then shoot with those numbers. ugh.
I will be the first to eat crow tbh. I knew he was going to be a good player, but never to this extent.
He has played great but the Spurs need to figure out ways to use him better. I know he expends a lot of energy on defense but I'd like to see us run him off screens to open up mid range shots like the pistons used to do with rip Hamilton..... Kawhi has an unbelievable mid range game and I hate that we reduce his game to ISO plays and standing at the 3 point line waiting for the ball. Seems like a waste and our offense does leave something to be desired.
Worst schtick on ST, and that's saying something.
If he is our best 3 pt shooter, and an improving playmaker/ go to scorer...
It seems like an utter waste for him to devote offensive possessions running around screen after screen like Hamilton or Red etc. just to get an open shot.
That would decrease his energy levels for defense, which would be counterproductive.
It's sublime that is offensive game, is not predicated on continuos movement, because he gets to rest, while also being able to explode offensively in the moment, for a 3, or go into his post moves when the opening is there.
Let Patty play that role. KL has bigger fish to fry.
i understand what you are saying but there are times when our offense is struggling and it would be nice to sparingly use him in this way to get easy shots. I'm not talking all game..... Just sometimes.
Basically, a hybrid b/w KG/Dirk.
Kawhi's ascending into a superstar. Been great watching him so far.
Do you hope you're right on like this?
Very rarely do numbers like this get put up....
If he's right...it doesn't mean anything.
And Bird averaged 30.9 that month while playing five back to backs. No wonder the 86 C's were the best team in league history.
And btw, it takes a lot of idiocy to be able to be called out by Mel![]()
"He's arrived".
Wow! That's pretty damn impressive! That kid is focused and disciplined...talented too!![]()
