Does Manning get credit for the win if he relief pitches late?

If Denver crushes the San Diego Dolts thus the coach decides to let Peyton get a few reps in, does this give Peyton the record? Or does it have to be Starter?

I think it's gotta be starter as only one QB per team can get credit.
OTOH what if started goes down one series in?
