As a Texan in exile here in Sacramento, I decided to check out the Monrachs "parade" today. The procession was only a few blocks long in contrast to the more than a mile long procession along the Riverwalk for the Spurs. After today, I feel sorry for WNBA fans. Stern and company are trying their best to pump up this product and maybe perhaps 3,000-4,000 showed up for the victory rally compared to over 65,000 at the Alamodome. Just over a month until the "real" basketball season begins.

I don't understand how the Silver Stars can be so bad. I'm thinking the Spurs management has some kind of association with them, do they not?

I think the spurs own them , but the spurs front office does not do much for the silver stars.

What do you expect? The WNBA is far from being as popular as the NBA. I bet if the Silver Stars won a championship, it would be the same lame parade.
