I never see the venom that he truly deserves when we habitually pound the Suns into oblivion.

We have rings unlike the Suns. Hating on Hornacek would be on par with being mad at the old Trailblazer's cast of thugs that knocked the Spurs out early Admiral era. Neither team ever rose to the level of what could be considered a legitimate rivalry with the Spurs. Probably only the Lakers and Heat in that category. So Hornacek, meh.
He's not a bad coach though I don't know why Sarver is waiting to fire him at this point. It's just the next step for a bad owner.
If I'm Hornacek getting fired and paid out the remainder of my contract would be like being paroled..get a new job with an NBA roster
Sarver's the worst. Makes Dolan and Prokhorov look decent. The first thing I think of is the chicken dance, followed by the fan apology, and the latest, blaming the millennials.

He's a decent coach. What's to hate?
He was an all star player who did it right. He has been a great coach but with an owner who has a way of screwing up his team. If he is dumped I know Pop would have a place for him next year.
I always loved Hornacek's game - he was Manu crafty.
You get paid out the contract over the duration of the contract. If you take a new job, the payout stops.
I think it depends on the contract. Our boy Mike Brown was getting paid handsomely after getting canned from the Lakers and Cavs in consecutive years. But, I could definitely be wrong in my take...
