Except that George Hill couldn't guard if there was a pick involved, so yeah, there's that.

I think either Marcus Smart or Avery Bradley will do. They're a pretty great defensive point guards.
that
Let Elian Gonzales get 60 pts.
Just dont let Rush, Speighs and that skinny moda a get 55pts combined![]()
I bet Indiana would accept Kawhi back...
would love that bum looking niglet beverley, tbh... if he can't stop him, at least have him punch his knee...
This isn't 2011, when Curry was younger, rawer and had a bum ankle. Pacers got blasted both times by Dubs. Do not want that
rather have him do that during rockets-dubs to keep the bad PR away from the Spurs tbh
He took out Westbrook a few years ago.
Avery Bradley isn't happening without trading one of Lamarcus/Kawhi/Parker/Green/Diaw/Duncan/Mills/Ginobili/West (it's impossible under the cap). Shipping Patty out with salary (Bonner/McCallum/Butler) works. Not a fan of moving Patty, but sometimes you have to make the hard moves if you see it as the only way to win a le. Other assets may need to move around to entice Boston. Bradley did mention he's not pleased with his contract, so take that for what it's worth.
Salary-wise, KCP would mean moving at least the Bonner/McCallum/Butler contracts or SloMo. He's going to cost a heck of a lot more than that given he's cheap for two more years before RFA. Price is likely a first plus SloMo, and not sure that gets it done unless SVG has a hard on for SloMo.
I think that was the point of EN's post.
I think George Hill would have developed to become a better defensive player had he stayed with the Spurs longer, he definitely has the atheticism, long arms and hands.
But in terms of defensive talent today, I'd probably go with Mario Chalmers
Would be cheaper to get a dirty player. Lol.
I've seen George Hill guard people in big games, so no thanks.
Holy , the thought of George Hill trying to chase Curry around screens is frightening. You don't remember when the Spurs got swept by the Suns when they had Hill trying to chase Nash around screens? Now picture that but with a guy who has about 8 feet more shooting range than Nash and is a lot faster, is a better ballhandler, and has a much quicker release. Might as well have Boban guard Curry then.
Hills is only good for isoball players like Kobe Bryant. If Mark Jackson was still coaching the Dubs then Hill would be a great option for guarding Curry in the first round every year.
