Westbrook and Durant both going to the Lakers in the same season. Talk about a slap to the Sonics fans!

Come back to what? Score 8 points a game as a role player? I don't think six is worth that kind of "humiliation" to him.

If Durant signs a one-year deal this summer, you can book it.

Still think both ending up in LA won't happen, but if it did, that'd be pretty ty tbqh.

Lakers dodged a bullet by Howard and Aldridge rejecting them, tbh..would have set them back another 5 years..

Jim could still it all up by signing Derozan, though..

Dont like howard at all and he looks off at times but man spurs signing him for two years to make up for a potential retirement. Not going to happen, but that would.be awesome. He still has games where he looks like hes 30 and not 35

I don't mind Howard or Aldridge, but any team trying to build around them for the future(like the Lakers wanted) is setting themselves up for disaster

They are not going anywhere with rookie talent. Philly should show you enough to convince you of that. There needs to be some veteran presence on the floor, and not wasted space Richard Jefferson level veterans. I agree that missing Howard was probably good for long term compe iveness, but it was bad for Kobe's short term outlook. He basically is entering his retirement by putting his team in the worst losing season in their history. Meanwhile Tim will leave his team after playing his last game as a playoff game.

They were never going anywhere with Kobe on the roster, anyways..he's the biggest cancer in the league + one of the worst players, too..these last 2 years have been a Kobe farewell and a tank job, which is why they hired the worst coach in the NBA to lead them

I agree with your point, but they won't necessarily need to build around draft picks..they will have cap space, and they can trade their upcoming #1 pick and Russell for established star players..once you have stars, it's much easier to attract veteran role players..

None of this is a given, though, as they have one of the worst ownership groups in pro sports, at the moment..

Westbrook will turn 29 as that season starts. Please sign him. He still can't shoot, so once hits the wrong side of 30 and his elite speed/athleticism goes he won't be any better than current Tony Parker tbh.
