Howard was considered an MVP caliber player in Orlando. It wasn't a stretch to think he'd win an MVP in forming Miami Heat West.

I warned people about this. Great player but not sure how he is winning MVP's from the bottom of the West. i remember a couple morons arguing if they finished top 4 in the West he would win ... which made no sense even if they stayed healthy.
I also said his injury issues were concerning.

NBA loading up the Pels with twenty or so nationally televised games. That had backfire written all over it. Luckily for them, the contrast isn't so stark due to all the other sh** teams out there.

Yeah, you guys really showed him what a scrub he was by holding him to 31.5 ppg on 54% shooting in that series. Can see why he'd be discouraged about his future after that
