Opera is fine. It's rather good in standards compliance (not like Mozilla's but still far better than MSIE) and is really light weight. I use Firefox and last time I checked on Opera was a couple of years ago (Opera has been around quite some time)

Just downloaded it again to take a peek. Still pretty lean, which I like. I'm not sure what inroads they might make on PCs, but they're in a great position for ultraportable devices.

Opera is good, but them POP-UPS are vicious on the pr0n sites and are pretty hard to stop regardless.

I use both Opera and Firefox. I really like the tabbing (windows) on Opera better than Firefox. Opera also seems to run a little faster on my laptop.

However, some pages don't load well in Opera, whereas I've never had a problem with Firefox. I think it's because Firefox handles the pages with IE-specific quirks much better. For instance, I can never get ST.com chat to work in Opera. Firefox seems to be much more configurable.

That sums it pretty well. I got frustrated by how bad Java worked in Opera and switched to Firefox.

When did you upgrade FF last? There are some really important security patches for FF right now.

I'm a bif fan of Opera, I am currently using it in conjunction with firefox and I used it for a long time without firefox. Operas mouse gestures are the best available bar none. There are some anoying scripting problems however shoogar and Slomo pretty much covered it though.

Definately worth checking out I like it more than Firefox and if it didn't have compatability issues I'd use it exclusively.
