But Tim will get no love on the NBA all defensive team.
The Spurs head into the Rodeo Road Trip boasting the highest average scoring margin in league history (plus-13.4) through 50 games. Yet there's no denying that Tim Duncan's absence has hurt San Antonio defensively; Timmy & Co. allowed a league-best 89.8 PPG through their first 44 games of the season and have surrendered 102.4 PPG in the past seven Duncan has sat.

If they're sexuals he most certainly will.
Manu is probably more valuable imo
Sadly Magic doesn't get a vote.
Misleading. For one thing, the Spurs have played a higher percentage of good offenses over the past seven games. For another thing, the team is having a harder time hold leads now that their third-stringers are in the rotation. Boban is great for extending a lead in garbage time, but he's not all that great at defending against first-unit offenses.
Considering that Kawhi won DPOY after missing 18 games & Bogut being All-NBA D after starting in only 65 games last season, Tim has a chance for 2nd Team All-D especially if he make a noticeable impact against the Worriers.
Anthony Davis/Gasol/Noah/Dwight & even Ibaka have been eliminated from the field this season plus the increasing emphasis on analytic along with the historic defensive rating (when he's on the floor) should help Tim's cause.
Frontcourt compe ion:
-Draymond
-DeAndre
-Kawhi
-Bogut
-Drummond
-Paul George
-Millsap
-Gobert
-Bosh
-Crowder
-Whiteside
1st Team
-Kawhi (lock)
-Draymond (lock)
-Whiteside (b/c voters are impressed by raw #s: blocks)
2nd Team:
-Drummond (b/c voters are impressed by raw #s: rebounds)
-DeAndre (was 1st team last season & is actually better this season)
Players competing for the last spot:
-Bogut (as effective as last season when he was 2nd team & has only missed a few games)
-Gobert (best rim protector but has missed a lot of games)
-Timmay (leads the league in DRPM so should get votes from the anayltics nerds)
It will be decided in the final month since Bogut/Timmay will be going head-to-head & Gobert will be fighting to keep the Jazz in the playoffs.
