oscar robertson... 30.5, 10.1, 9.7 right off the bat. made all-nba first team and won all star mvp (not that the latter means much)
Pretty ridiculous what this kid is doing at 20 years old...where does his season rank among the best rookie seasons ever? Off the top of my head:
MJ
Wilt
D-Rob
Shaq
Duncan
Kareem
Hakeem
Bird
Magic
Anyone else I'm forgetting? I know Blake was great as a rookie but I'm not sure he was better than Towns. Towns might be top 10...which again, considering he's younger than all of those guys I just named, that's crazy.

Towns got outplayed by Boban, destroyed by Okafor & plays on a lotto team (ala Blake) unlike the rest of the guys you listed
20 yr old Elton Brand was 20/10 as a rookie on a ty team.

Rick Barry averaged 26 pts/per, won ROY, was named an All-Star, and was named All-NBA First Team his Rookie season.
Elvin Hayes averaged 28 pts & 17 rbs his first year and is the only Rookie to ever lead the league in scoring besides Wilt.
Walt Bellamy averaged 32 pts & 19 rbs and led the league in FG% as a Rookie.
Elgin Baylor averaged 25 pts & 15 rbs and led his team to the NBA Finals.
Allen Iverson averaged 24 pts, 8 asts, & 2 stls on his way to winning ROY and broke Wilt's record of scoring 40+ points in 4 straight games his Rookie season.

But yea Wilt had by far the best Rookie season ever, averaging 38 pts & 27 rbs, and winning both MVP and ROY.
It was uva lot better than this .
