This makes sense to me and I 'm glad that it happened, but it just makes me even angrier that nothing happened after Kawhi was taken down to the ground the other night. I just don't get that.

NEW YORK — Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside has been suspended one game without pay for throwing an elbow and making contact with the head of San Antonio Spurs center Boban Marjanovic, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
The incident, for which Whiteside was assessed a Flagrant 2 and ejected, occurred with 9:35 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Spurs' 119-101 win over the Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena on Feb. 9.
Whiteside will serve his suspension when Miami plays the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 19 at Philips Arena.
So this guy has a history and only gets 1 game? This guy is Najera on roids; a glorified goon imo

So this er lucks out and pretty much walks on to an NBA team and he still acts like a dumbass?? Smh. Some people.
To me, what Pachulia did to Kawhi deserves more of a suspension.
I agree. Zaza went amok on Spurs' players. Glad Manu's out or Pachulia would have smashed the other testicle.
Its a real shame we don't play Dallas at home again this season tbh
Zaza has now been added to that list with Fisher, Ray Allen, etc...
Wish nothing but the worst for him
Jason Terry is on the list too.
this guy is a punk. Not the first time I've seen him instigate fights or take cheap shots at players. If you look at his fight with Alex Len you'll know it's easy to get in this guy's head. Terrific physical specimen, but kid is a head case.
There's always somebody with bigger balls Whiteside. you, don't mess with the Boban.
Juwan Howard too for his flagrant on Derek Anderson
Tuesday night, he always looked upset at something.
Seems like that's the norm.
Shame, he's talented.
I hope this doesn't become a pattern. Don't want the Spurs to keep getting sidetracked by injures, much less not accidental.
Well, nobody is even within 1.5 blocks/game (@ 3.8) of him, so there's that.
Dude's got some issues he needs to work out. Hopefully, he sees that now and does something about it before someone gets severely injured.
I wish we had an enforcer type of PF, without talent of course, to throw in there to retaliate against dumbasses.
David West is a enforcer
Yep, the ol' JYD
Jerome Williams?
Junk Yard Dog
I mean someone we dont mind getting suspended. Someone to clothesline mother ers.
This, along with Jason Terry and now Zaza, is why I said at the time that this guy is indicative of some sort of culture at the Dallas team that is just dirty and out for inflicting damage on other teams. You just don't get that many team members with that many dirty players over such a long period without some kind of culture condoning or encouraging it. I remember watching Juwan Howard take out Anderson - people who are counting back-to-backs forget things like that happening and seriously impeding our chances.
I have always believed that players who injure another player badly enough to take them out of several games should have to sit out as many games as the guy they hurt. Only seems fair to me.
Tbh that's not even fair, when you consider the trade off - lose Kawhi for a month/lose Zaza for a month.
To stop this bull , which most of the time I feel is orchestrated from higher up, when a player does this, the opposing teams the violator's team plays should be allowed to choose 1 player from his squad that will sit out for the duration of the suspension .
Whiteside going in. Beasting ATM
