where's lake livingston
They are telling people down river (Trinity) to get out, not sure if the dam is going to hold.
*gulp*
where's lake livingston
Near Huntsville
Google Map
Yeah, because the water has to go somewhere. They said somewhere I think CNN, that people near creeks, rivers should look out because they will be rising from all the water.
They have the flood gates at the Lake Livingston Dam wide open, and they're saying on the news that they don't know if they will be able to get enough water out to alleviate the pressure on the damn before it will fail.
The basins of the Sabine and Neches rivers are also getting pounded

Does there dam have a spillway?
Edit: Nevermind it does not have a spillway but it has gates.. hopefully
they left them open enough to help take some of the load off.

AHF, what are you watching?
Manny,
here in Dallas they have been broadcasting Houston news (KHOU) all day, and all the Dallas stations have crews down in East Texas reporting live.
Thanks! KHOU has a live webcast, I'm watching that now.
