My prediction is somehow the powers to be make sure Simmons comes to LA and then Jimmy will be gone by next season and they will bring Phil+Luke Walton to LA.
Build around Simmons a few years and we'll be back on top. I still think this process will take about 4-5 years but its inevitable. Far too much money in the Lakers is being lost right now and that is not making the people upstairs happy.
Enjoy the last few years of the Lakers being a lottery team. It's only a matter of time now.

Lakers need to avoid winning games (not that they really can even if they wanted to) this 2nd half of the season. Losing their pick would set the franchise back quite a bit
