Peak wise Kobe is pretty high. The problem is defining that peak. Was it the three peat sidekick or was it the playoff missing first round ousting 35ppg scorer?

I would personally pick the three peat side kick Kobe because he actually played defense back in the day and he was making a difference on the team.

There aren't many wings with a higher peak though.

Austin croschere is a tough one, he had a better finals head to head vs Kobe but I doubt he can really blossom at guard though. And then iverson beat Kobe in the finals stats wise, same with Jason Kidd, Kerry kitties, rip Hamilton, Paul pierce (twice). Kobe was better than hedo in 2009 though.

2009 Wade posted a better FG %, PER(30.4), TS%, efg%, double the BPM, VORP, and only had slightly less WS(Kobe had more OWS, Wade had more DWS) than 06 Kobe(35ppg). It's not really a reach. Peak Tmac was better as well. Kobe was better than the Ray Allens and Vince Carters of the league though. I mean he is 12th all time for a reason.
