Mayer Amschel Bauer (later renaming himself Mayer Amschel Rothschild) was a Jewish coin dealer of "humble" origins. He incorporated a "Rothschild" (Red Shield) on the front of his bank with a red hexagram at the top for his family insignia. His creed - "Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws" were carried out by his 5 sons after his death in the early 1800's. They were then responsible for the "Louisiana Purchase" since Napoleon's interest free loans provided by the Banque de France was a direct threat to their banking empire. They funded both sides of the War of 1812 and have been funding every war since then for over 200 years.
