Yeah, I don't understand why every time he gets the ball he puts it down below his waist before rising. Shaun always mentions this.
Too easily dislodged. Time to put-in work.
That is all.

FTL FTL FTL, tbh.
He needs lots coaching
Will the spurs do it?
Didn't get enough responses in your other thread?
Gym workout pocket dupe. You're kind of being bossy, though. Kind of like me, tbh. There are quite a few "Boban" threads, so no sweat.
It's pretty rare for someone with 500 posts to be elected to the Thread Police.
I can't say this enough, the more posts/threads from Solid D, the better
Amen with that!
Just creating some tension during this slow week of basketball.
I'd say avoid bring in the ball down.... probably a bad habit hard to break though.
This. Just keep it high big fella
He's still learning, he's older but he's really played a lot of basketball, as in being a starter/getting a lot of minutes, for only a couple of years '13-'15 - before that he was mostly a 10 minutes per game big body. It's not like he's been tearing up european leagues for 5-6 years before he came to the NBA.
And yes, he brings the ball down a lot. That's what bigs who haven't been coached properly at an early age do.
He looks like he will be able to learn and improve ... hopefully his body is able to take some more years.
you truly have no clue or concept how silly you sound, friend.
As for the OP, I agree. I'm far from sold on Boban, as impressive as he has been this season. He won't be a novelty for much longer.
Run for your lives!!
He really does need to be more aggressive and use his height and strength to his advantage. He's skilled offensively. Just needs to go strong to the basket.
"Throw it down big fella" *Bill Walton voice
Wish he was still announcing so I could just hear once when hes excited after a dunk "Boban is the best player in basketball"
Agreed. He's got great touch but is way too soft around the basket and careless with the ball. I've never seen a 7 foot 3 guy find his way to the floor like he does either. He's like Antonio Daniels in that regard.
Dude needs to just dunk it everytime
Actually, I believe his go to shot is going to be that 10-12 foot bank shot from the left side. Everyone has to cut off the paint so they overplay some to the high side so when he spins clockwise and shoots it is next to impossible to stop and he has a very nice touch.
It's a cool video snippet, and I love it when Boban throws it down like that. But look at all the swipes that get taken at the ball after he brings it down. He's losing a bunch of those now. A bunch. And when they take it away from him, a lot of the time the other team is out and running.
Teams obviously scouted him, and told their guys that it's not the end if he hauls in a rebound - hang in there and hack it away from him. That play probably should have drawn at least a couple of whistles. But a guy that big right under the basket isn't going to get a lot of those calls. If he keeps it above his head, and gets hacked, the refs are going to call a lot more of them.
He's aware of it. I heard him in an interview talk about how the Spurs had been working with him, and one of the things he mentioned was not bringing the ball down. It's just going to take some time. The thing that bugs me even more than that is when he stands out at the top of the circle like he's setting a pick, but there's no defender anywhere around him to pick. He's just a great big pylon.
