Gs can not break record now
I know this is probably a NBA Forum thread, but let's face it...these are two of the best teams the regular season has ever seen, especially simultaneously. Room for discussion.
GSW picks up their 9th loss tonight. Now 3 losses behind the Spurs.
Spurs play them at Oracle on Thursday, and in San Antonio Sunday. That would put the Warriors 1 game ahead and lacking the tiebreaker. And it's not impossible to say they could lose one more game with the "skid" they have hit...comparatively speaking, of course.
Do the Spurs still push for #1 seed AND try to block the Warriors from 73 at the same time? Or does Pop stick with the second seed plan and hide cards in the next two games?
The rest of the season may still have left some juice left to it.
Wonder what excuse Draymond has this time?
Problem is their only other games are against the Grizzlies who have mailed it in without their big players...
It's interesting.
Their (GSW) focus on a record and Spurs focus on another ring is more important than people think.
It may be more of an interesting finish than fans thought 24 hours ago.
Damnit!
They need to feel invincible.
Crap.
They have to win out to beat the 72-10 record.
Spurs in 6.
Spurs are fine at the 2nd seed. Warriors are very beatable at home.
Play everyone Thursday. Take a on their court and on their owner
Dude. They have 2 games each left, against Spurs and Memphis. If Memphis had Gasol, Conley or Randolph maybe, but since they don't....
I want the 2 seed.
GS will choke away HCA by losing game 1 or 2.
So you would have bet on the wolves against the warriors tonight?
Thursday night becomes a telling game.
Unfortunate that their only 2 games left outside of us are vs. a completely injured Memphis team...I mean they just lost to Minnesota so obviously anything is possible, but it's pretty damn unlikely that we'd get the #1 seed even if we do beat them both games.
Resting at home like Shaq says is ING STUPID. We go for 41-0 at home, no matter what.
I really want to get that 41-0. The win at Oracle would be house money but not necessary at all.
Don't tell the Bulls that.
I hope Pop rests his guys and lets them waltz to the record. He'd be taking Kerr's cookie and throwing him a bone at the same time.
Thunder are locked into the 3rd seed, I think I would rather play them in the 2nd round vs LAC.
Randolph is back and had 27 and 10 tonight.
And Memphis is fighting for their playoff lives.
Clearly still a long shot, but after the Warriors struggled against the Jazz, then lost against the Celtics and Timberwolves...still can't say it's impossible.
Obviously, Thursday's game will set the course.
Pressure is mounting
Playing big minutes
Choking
