DPOY is neck and neck. I'm more worried about ALL-NBA..but i guess he has a better shot at all nba than DPOY.
Yeah, he gets contested rebounds repeatedly against guys he probably shouldn't.
I recall some ridiculous stat from 2013 I think it was where once Kawhi physically touched a rebound, he didn't lose possession of the ball once for the entire season. I swear I'm not making that up...

He should be the landslide winner. No other defender in the league has to carry his load night in and night out. If Raymond wins it, I'm rioting. That er gets s acked by bigs 1v1, then GS starts swarming, which of course causes opposing bigs problems, but the metrics "credit" Draymond for that possession as if he were defending straight up.
His primary defensive value is switching, really. But he's not out there on the perimeter covering the space Kawhi is.

Actually it might have been. Didn't they say that he didn't lose possession of the ball except in the NBA finals game 6? Did Kawhi touch the ball of one of those two offensive rebounds the Heat got? I think he did. I don't really want to go back and watch it. Just another one of those crazy things that went wrong in those last 27 seconds that shouldn't have.
