Three out of the Four "Starters" chose Kawhi, the fans were the fourth to choose Kawhi over Green. It would be really awesome to see Kawhi add some more hardware to his growing collection.

He's pretty much the scariest opponent to try score against. Maybe the players should get a vote also. I know the press watch nearly all 82 games and opponents only play against Kawhi 2-4 times. But you'd put money on the fact nobody wants to see Leonard guarding them. He puts fear into the opponents eyes when he is locked in to D

They already had a vote last year for the player awards and he wasn't even a nominee. I feel it's unfair because most players don't have to face him like they do a big man. DeAndre Jordan won because basically every player has to meet him at the rim and he makes them have to alter their shots. That's easier to remember than a perimeter guy. Either that or they were just hating because Tony Allen(though deservingly) is a perimeter guy and was a nominee.
Fun little show. For those who CBA watching it, Boban was nominated for best meme with his big hands, our second unit won the best solid play for that incredible play ending in a West and1, and they pretty much all agreed that Kawhi is the runner up in the MVP contest. Hope I haven't forgotten anything.
If camping in the paint and hacking big men makes makes you dpoy then Green should win.
Kawhi isn't the most beloved player because he isn't "buddy". We can see how the rest of the bigs guys suck each other's s, LeBron and Durant have worked together in the past, a few years ago Paul George said he wants LeBron to be his mentor...Fortunately for the Spurs, Kawhi isn't that kind of guy.
They are funny, but they tend to go with what is trendy instead of having real insight, but it's good entertainment. I can't complain that they showed Kawhi some love but the fact they picked him makes me feel like he won't win it now

In the offseason, these guys picked Gordon Hayward over Kawhi to make his first All Star...I wouldn't take them seriously.
They also picked Seth Curry for Summer League MVP, invited him to the show and had a whole feature on him the day before the award was to be guven (maybe hyped him bc he's a Curry?). Next day SL MVP was our very own Kyle Anderson who was not invited to the show and they downplayed him getting the award to cover their blunder.
True, but they did have The Juiceman J-Simms on there the night we won.
The Starters is an awesome show imo. It's not there for insight. It's the fun side of being a basketball lover, and is kinda aimed at the 80s baby's that grew up on early 90s basketball. Right up my alley. Love it when Bones joins the show.
I wrecked the English one on Twitter last year. He actually responded because I blasted him for not having Kawhi in his top 5 DPOY candidates. Then Kawhi won.
