Arguably the best console of all time. Maybe only the SNES matched it's longevity and game library.

Consoles as a whole have been pretty awesome until this generation. NES, SNES, N64, PS2, and X360 were all legends in their time. If we get something revolutionary like the 360 again in the next generation or two I might leave the master race again.

No way. Its not even close. PS2 had over 2100 officially released games. Not only did it have significantly more official games but because the ps2 generation had less shooters, it also offered the most variety.
It's not arguable. The number of games on a console is a given factual number. Its like saying kawhi had 18 points in ons game but Tony Parker might have argubly had more points. It doesnt work that way. We're talking about total numbers here. There is no argument there. Just factual numbers.
The biggest thing about the ps2 is the development cost in that era allowed for more games.
The Ps2 IIRC, has over 3500 released games. The 360 had 1700.
Development cost is everything here.
Steam haz the most games but they dont count because 95% of steam games are hot potato garbage.

In comparison, the ps3 and ps4 are both hot garbage.

Some of those japanese games like Catherine are absoulte blast to play. Fyi, almost half of the games for ps1 and ps2 were japanese games. Just because you like western games more doesnt make the 360 library any better. Thats a re ed way of thinking.
There isnt a more diverse gaming library than the PS2. Ot had everything. In comparison the 360 had about 500 shooter games in a library of 1700.
Hey if you like shooters, that's cool. Thats your thing. There is no denying that the ps2 had double the number of games and was full of variety. There is a reason why the ps2 sold the most console and by a significant margin...they had th biggest number of publications, translations, etc.
Its by far the most sucessfull console of all time. I dont think any other consoles came even close.

Saying a console that had 1700 games had argubly more games than a console with 3700 games is legit re ed. Those are statistical numbers. How factual statistical numbers can be argued is beyond me.
