HoopsHype: NBA Mock Draft 2016
May 18, 2016- by HoopsHype
29. San Antonio: Guerschon Yabusele
Power Forward / 6-8 / SPO Rouen (France) / 1995
9.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg
Yabusele is having a solid season in France for Rouen knocking down 57 percent from the floor, 40 percent from three and 77 percent from the line. He has surprising ball skills and outside shooting ability. For a player with such tremendous body strength, he's actually quite nimble. He shows good anticipation playing passing lanes and surprising body control to stop and start and not bowl over opponents when attacking. While lacking ideal power forward height, his 7-foot plus wingspan allows him to play bigger.
Twitter: Comparison: Gary Trent Salary: $983,400*
Is he better then LJC?
Is he a combination of Malik Rose and Bonner?

29 San Antonio Guerschon Yabusele 6-8 260 PF France Intl.
Kind of a player that gets picked off the Draymond bandwagon.
I wouldn't hate the pick too much as a smallball pf project, he has more skills than LJC, but there's other players that will probably be on the board that I would rather see first.
Don MacLean, who runs pre-draft camps for CAA clients, was on the Great Point Podcast.
Yabusele was one of his guys, and intimated that he had a good chance of slipping into the end of the first round. He made no such suggestions about his other French client, Cordinier.
Could he be coyly signaling a Spurs promise?
He's pretty open about things. He completely trashed James Young who the Celtics took 17 two years ago. But he did it in an interesting fashion, by saying he wasn't going to name the player who he was bagging on, but that he was pick 17 two years ago and had no business being picked.
