There's no other team better suited for Boban to go against. Kind of like Splitter against the Grizzlies.

It's bad enough, sad enough that Duncan is so worn down that he's nearly ineffective even when he isn't in foul trouble.

But for Pop to screw Duncan over again because he respects West so much, and has so little respect for the best center in Europe who is incredibly seasoned ... I don't know how he can stick the knife in like that.

Phil Jackson would've played him. Pop is just a stubborn old man who has to stick to the script

Boban is a child at this level. He has no business playing against OKC starters, they'd eat him alive and he'd foul out by the end of the half.

People will about his P&R defense, but it CAN'T be worse than Tim's. They're both stiffs, but Boban can at least score and rebound.

Boban kept the game close thru 3 quarters by himself when Pop rested 6 guys. He owns Kanter and Adams

STFU he came in the 2nd Qtr of Game 2 and looked fine.
Plus he kicked ass against Thug Adams and Borat in the reg season.
    Todays game screamed for Boban.

Sounds like you were talking about Tim Duncan this game with 4 fouls before the half..... Pop not playing Martin when its clear we need scoring.

West giving up that money and joining the Spurs unfortunately guaranteed that Pop's respect for him would far outweigh any on court results. He is BULLETPROOF.

boban wouldn't be helpful, but i'm sure it's comforting for fans to think there's such an easy quick fix to make all our problems go away

Spurs scored 97 while giving up 110 and it's the offense that struggled?

Gave up 93 in the last three quarters - the spurs don't foul and yet they fouled tonight. No mystery why. When the other team is in the bonus for most of the 48 minutes, you are in trouble.

Boban is almost 8 feet tall and holding his arms up probably blots out the rim to anyone looking from the floor. Still he thinks he has to jump and swat down at the ball when a small guard is attacking the rim. That's not defense. If you can't teach a guy to stand there with his ing arms held staight up, if he has to float out to the 3pt line and then struggle to recover, if he feels he has to bring the ball down to his waist to dunk when he only needs to reach up, you're dealing with a child.

He would not be better than Tim. He'd be a desperation move that says "I give up" up 2 games to 1.

I'm pretty sure Pop would tell him to do exactly that. Just put your hands up when they attack you, which isn't the preferred scoring method of going against a guy who is 7'3 and rebound the ball for at least 10 minutes of the remaining games of the series. Boban has played very well against Adams and Kanter, so against anyone else I probably would have my doubts tbh.

Pop has done a disgraceful job.

West unable to box out any and everyone from centers to point guards, getting repeatedly owned, fouling on dead balls for points because he can't box out, brick city scared jumpers ...

Boban will play somewhere else next year, and maybe the media will wake up to the fact that Pop is more done than Duncan. S

Pop's stubborn refusal to give Marjanovic a shot to match up with the size of Kanter and Adams (whom are repeatedly stretching our starfish out of shape) is akin to his riding of the Turd Towers against Memphis in '11 with Tiago on the bench. This late-game David West action is absolutely baffling. He repeatedly lost boards against Russ WB and made boneheaded play after boneheaded play. If we're dropping games anyway I can't see how it would hurt to let Boban check into the game.
