Oh game 6 was the worst moment in my sports fan history. But like I always say if game six does not happen the next season we don't go on the path of destruction...and LBJ is probably still in Miami

6 definitely gives you immunity to handle any loss. I don't think it's ever possible to top 6.

    Exactly.

On the flip side, 2014 felt so good I told myself I was ok with what happens in the future for a little while.

Didn't hurt to be so humiliated? Your team go out so pathetic and laughable losing in second round(really first round cause memphis should not count) like a soft pussy who can't endle pressure after a 67 wins season and 40 home wins season and after 40 points win in game 1, how are you don't feel so emberesment and a juke? How it is not killing you to see Duncan finished in strident tones his career?

Nah, not hard to take this ending. You need to be playing your best basketball in the playoffs and the Spurs clearly were not. The regular season means nothing. The record was nice but I don't think anyone in this forum really felt great about the team. It just wasn't fluid on offense and the compe ion in the NBA was terrible. The record was inflated. I had lots of hope but I was kidding myself. OKC is good but they're not great either. The series could have gone either way but neither team was Championship material.

You'll still be written under one of the most emberesments in playoff history as a team with historical regular season losing to a rookie coach team after leading 2-1 and after 40 points win in game one, it's have to be hard to take... All those hopes we were having after regular season at least to give fight to warriors getting blown out by losing to a lesser team, Duncan era ending so ugly, all this have to be bigtime dissepointment, how it is not killing you?

Die Hard actually. That's why I'm on a forum one day after the Spurs season is over.

This is true but some are just more painful than others. I remember after losing yesterday I was only angry for a few minutes. When 6 happened I literally couldn't go to sleep for that whole entire night.

I sat there for hours after that game. Luckily a friend came over after the game who is a Lakers fan and settled me down. I was angry nearly the whole year after that series. Anytime I thought about Basketball the following year, that last 27 seconds just randomly popped into my head and I instantly got angry. The whole year I felt that there was no other option but to get back to the finals, play Miami again, and this time leave no doubt that we're the best team. I still won't give Miami credit for 2013. I felt that we handed it to them and they didn't truly earn it, and that they were not the better team.

Totally. That foul on Duncan doesn't get called or CP3 doesn't hit that shot and could have been very different.

The team we saw in the first five playoff games disappeared in the next five. Wrong time to hit a total funk, but also shows team needs a bit of a revamp on the fly despite winning 67. Plus the Warriors have now successfully avoided Spurs AND Clippers in consecutive years and only have had OKC once as a top tier team en route to the finals.

If you have been a Spurs fan for longer then one season it doesn't hurt at all. For me 2 years ago when they won the fifth championship, I was completely fulfilled and satisfied for a lifetime with what this team accomplished. I got to see them win all five championships as an adult. I was good.

That year was considering the media and trolls would never let the spurs forget about 6. I would also get angry every time they would bring it up. Spurs would win 10 games in a row and they would randomly bring it up "Spurs are having a great year but can you really say they have gotten over what happened in game 6 in Miami?" I really wanted the redemption in the worst way to say you to the media, trolls, and Miami. Every playoff game was intense win or lose. In my mind the spurs had to win and there was no other option. Once the Spurs won 5 it was the most joy and relief I had experienced after a championship. It felt like an awful curse had been lifted and a wrong had been righted. Spurs have had some of the sickest losses ever during the Duncan era. .4, Manu's foul on Dirk, and 6. I felt in all 3 of those losses the Spurs were the better team but were very unlucky. I think surviving those awful type of losses makes the current loss to OKC pale in comparison.
