Been keeping a close eye on the Asian qualifiers and I didnt realize their continental cup Happens three years before the world cup

We've seen how much a year can make a difference in terms of player personel and level of play but how much more is four? To top it all off, the qualifiers are all seperated by significant dates. A team can be significantly different in game 1 and the final qualifying game.

Every other continental cup is seperated by two years which is still significant imo. Save for CAF. I think part of the reason why we've had surprise performances from African teams is because of that.

It would help teams prepare tremendously of they play the cups a year before.

Better level of play from everyone. International play sometimes tend to lack the top notch cohesivness you see from these club teams because they play one game and then the next game is after three months.

And because its two years or 3 years difference. Some teams experience major personel change from cup and world cup...

The teams that play in the confederation cup have a tendency to start really good...no surprises why.
